Summer at Sandra’s

Our 2024 summer program comprises continuation classes, four-day themed children’s camps, and a two-week intensive featuring a variety of dance genres and conditioning.

For dancers who desire to maintain an after-school routine and want the feeling of a semi-private lesson, these classes afford an opportunity to learn RAD work that wasn't emphasized during the dance year and receive customized instruction that will help them refine their skills and build confidence.

Summer Program Policies and Frequently Asked Questions

  • If you must cancel, you may apply your payment to another summer session (space allowing) 2 weeks before your session is scheduled to begin. Just email us at spokanestudioofdance@gmail.com. Payments are non-refundable within 2 weeks before the scheduled start date.

  • Payment is made at the time of online registration with a credit card. If you would rather pay by cash or check, or in installments, please let us know.

  • Our summer program will help current dancers avoid the “summer slide” and prepare for a strong start to the dance year. Summer is also the perfect introduction to ballet for any new dancer who may be joining us in the fall.

  • We determine this on a class-by-class basis; please know our schedule is subject to change due to enrollment.

  • Children 9 and younger are welcome to wear whatever they feel most comfortable in. Ballet shoes are recommended, and participants in our Carnival in the Clouds Camp will need a pair of tap shoes.

In ballet classes, dancers will need to wear a leotard and ballet tights with ballet shoes. For other dance formats and yoga, shorts or jazz pants and a comfortable top are acceptable.

  • 45- or 60-minut children’s classes: Please bring a filled water bottle, but leave snacks at home.

Carnival on a Cloud Camp: Participants will need tap shoes AND ballet shoes for this class! Please bring a filled water bottle and a sack lunch. We will communicate any restrictions related to allergies in a pre-camp email.

August Intensive: Please bring a filled water bottle and a sack lunch. Phones should be left in a dance bag in the basement.
