This short month always feels full — read on for details about all that is happening this month and on into the summer!
First, a reminder that our second trimester Watch Week begins tomorrow and runs through Saturday, February 7. Scroll down for tips if this is your first one. We know you will be proud of the more advanced sequences your dancer has learned at this point in the year. (Wednesday evening tap students: as Miss Angie has communicated, your watch week night will be Wednesday, February 11.) Our third trimester begins Monday, February 23; invoices for tuition will be in your inbox by the end of the month.
Our February 7 Frozen Ballet Camp is full, but please email us if you’d like to get on the waitlist.
Also on February 7: Beginner-level dancers age 8+ have a special opportunity to participate in a free dance class with cast member of the Lion King! Learn more and register here.
There are NO CLASSES on Monday, February 16 due to President’s Day. Even though Spokane Schools has no school February 13 and 17, dance classes will run as scheduled.
With our May 18 recital just over 3 months away, it’s time to snap some individual pictures in those lovely recital costumes! An exact schedule with your call time will be shared in our mid-month newsletter, but please save the afternoon of Saturday, March 21. Individual pictures are optional; a group photo with the entire class will be taken during the dress rehearsal on May 2.
Our tap dancers have an extra performance opportunity at DanceFest — also on March 21! All are welcome to attend this multi-studio celebration of dance. More details to follow. (We will make sure there is minimal conflict with picture day!)
The Royal Academy of Dance has given us an exam date of Monday, March 23. Miss Ann has shared specific time and further details with participating students. Pre-Ballet classes will be cancelled that day; classes will resume at 3:30 with Pre-Primary. Pre-Ballet students are encouraged to either attend a Thursday or Saturday class, or join a Pre-Primary class. Just let Miss Stephanie know!

Finally, a reminder: Our gravel parking lot can get very muddy, so please ensure your dancer does not wear their dancing shoes in the parking lot. Slightly oversize rain boots are great for slipping on over ballet slippers! |
